![]() ![]() Once she lost interest in New York’s busy lifestyle, Plum fled back to France. She spent years working with art and antiques. Life took her to New York in the years that followed. The author eventually left Paris for London to pursue her MA. On the other hand, every time Amy Plum stepped out of her home, she felt like she had just taken her first steps toward a wonderful adventure. She went to work, paid her taxes, cooked meals, and slept like everyone else. On the one hand, her life was relatively normal. The five years she spent in Paris where magical. By working with an American company, she was able to secure employment in the country. She was 23 when she settled down in Paris. They were more than happy to expel people for dancing. But the university she attended there was just as restrictive. They created an environment that was so restrictive that it compelled her to ran away. A student of Wheaton College (Illinois) from where she got her degree in psychology and the Courtauld Institute from where she got her Masters in Medieval Art history, Plum’s family was very religious. ![]()
